Sansevieria trifasciata stores water in its upright leaves, so the fastest way to kill it is kindness. Water deeply every two to three weeks in summer and roughly monthly in winter, in a gritty, fast-draining mix. It grows in almost any light and will slowly pup new rosettes from the rhizome.
